]]> Just a quick update to let everyone know of the progress we have made working on the John W. Grant Audio Archive.  In a little over a year, we have uploaded over 300 audio messages from the library of Rev. John W. Grant.    Not all of these are Rev. Grant speaking, as we have quite a diverse group of “Spirited Speakers.”  This group ranges from “Pentecostal Heavyweights” such as David Bernard, Nona Freeman, Lee Stoneking and T.F. Tenney to lesser known but equally blessed messages from Keith Mandley, Janet Trout, Joy Haney and LaJoyce Martin!

Who Says There Are No Women Preachers In Pentecost?!?  I challenge you to listen to Sister Janet Trout’s message on Infidelity and not be moved!

]]> Just a note on how the newer messages are being loading on the website now.  I have been adding the current date to the message now instead of the date the message was originally preached.  The reason is the Podcast Software always wants to sort by date, so when I’m adding messages that are older than the newest message, they don’t necessarily show up in the feed unless you go hunting.  I’m adding the preached date to the alternate date field in the database so it is retained.  Hopefully this will get a few more eyes on the newest messages that are added to the site instead of them being hidden way down the list.

]]> Adding some miscellaneous audio files from various speakers.  The latest storage tote has a lot of Bishop Grant’s recordings along with many other preachers the either spoke at events he was present for or from Camp meetings, etc.  I would imaging there are a few of Sister Grant’s favorites in there as well.

Some of the older cassette’s audio recording are damaged.  There are some interesting looking messages from Sis. Nona Freeman that I just cannot get to playback correctly.  Sadly I’ve just set them aside for now.  Others have some “warbling” and I try to make note if it in the file name that is displayed.

Any messages that do not have a date on the cassette are simply give the generic date of Jan 1, 1980.

]]> The next batch of cassettes that I have to go through is from the library of Bishop Grant.  There are all kinds of different ministers included, but I’m only going to be uploading a select few as this site is primarily about Bishop John Grant.  However, certain ministers and messages / series have caught my eye and I wanted to highlight some of there here, especially some of the female preachers.  In the next few days there will be more messages from Nona Freeman, Janet Trout and even Darlene Grant!  There will also be a few messages from T.F. Tenney.  I’m beginning to learn that “Southern Preachers” are pretty good!  🙂

]]> All done with the archives from 1983, at least from the main storage bin that I had.  It was fun to listen to some old time voices that I had heard “of” but has never had to opportunity to meet.  Grandma Mandley from 1983 giving her testimony (from 10-16-1993 A Glimpse Of Eternity) on her 90th birthday was very inspiring!  It was also fun to hear about the “Traveling Basket” in 11-20-1983 God Is Big Enough.  The Traveling Basket was a gift basket full of goodies, snacks and treats and was mentioned by Bishop Grant in jest because he never has been the recipient of it!  Poor Bishop!  🙂

Enjoy and I hope these treasures bless you or someone you know!  And remember…  “People have more fun than anybody!”
